Refund Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026 · Effective: August 10, 2026
This page sets out when packaged issues refunds, how cancellation works, and what happens to credits you have not used. It restates the billing terms published in our Terms of Service — you should not have to read a full agreement to find out where you stand.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, in one step. There is no retention flow, no phone call, and no series of screens asking you to reconsider.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access and any remaining credits until that date. We do not offer partial-period refunds on cancellation, because you keep everything you paid for through the period you paid for.
Before every charge
We email you in advance of each renewal charge. We do not renew subscriptions silently, so a charge should never be the first you hear of a renewal.
When we refund
- Your first subscription payment — if you have used less than 20% of that period's credits within 7 days of your first-ever payment, you can ask for a full refund of it.
- Renewal payments are generally non-refundable. Because cancelling is always available and takes effect at the end of the paid period, you are never charged for a period you had no chance to cancel before.
- Unused top-up packs can be refunded within 7 days of purchase. A pack with any credits already spent is non-refundable.
- Billing errors — duplicate charges, or a charge taken after you properly cancelled — are corrected and refunded in full. This is not discretionary.
Credits you have not used
Unused subscription credits are not destroyed at the end of the month. They roll over and stack on top of your next month's allocation, and remain usable for three months.
If your subscription lapses, rolled-over credits are held rather than forfeited. You cannot spend them while unsubscribed, but they are waiting — alongside your new allocation — if you come back.
Generations that fail
You are never charged for a generation that fails. Credits are only taken once output has been produced successfully; a failed attempt costs you nothing and says so on screen.
How to request a refund
Email support@usepackaged.com from the address on your account and tell us what happened. You do not need to justify yourself at length or fill in a form.
Refunds are processed by our payment processor and are subject to that processor's own timelines for returning funds to your card or account. Where our processor acts as the merchant of record for your purchase, its own buyer-protection rules may also apply, and may be more generous than this page.
Changes to this policy
If we change these terms materially, we will say so by email or in the product before the change takes effect. A change will not be applied retroactively to a payment you have already made.
